Access Tiers & Content Gating

You can create different access levels for your users, allowing you to offer tiered pricing or limit certain features based on subscription plans.

What Are Access Tiers?

Access tiers allow you to differentiate user experiences based on what they’ve purchased from you. Common examples:

Feature-Based Tiers:

  • Standard Package: Text chat only
  • Premium Package: Text chat + voice conversations

Content-Based Tiers:

  • Basic Package: AI trained on introductory content
  • Advanced Package: AI trained on advanced/exclusive content

How Access Tiers Work

We can configure your AI Twin to recognize different user levels based on the plan they purchased from you.

Technical Implementation

During setup, we work with you to configure authentication that identifies each user’s access level. The AI Twin then automatically adjusts available features or knowledge based on that level.

Example Flow:

  1. User logs in through your membership platform
  2. Your system passes their subscription tier to the AI Twin
  3. AI Twin enables/disables features based on their tier
  4. User experiences the appropriate level of access

Content Gating with Multiple Twins

Content gating is a frequently requested feature. For example, you might want to:

  • Offer a lower-priced version of your Twin trained only on some of your content
  • Offer a higher-priced version trained on all of your content
  • Create separate Twins for different courses or programs

How Multiple Twins Work

The way we handle content gating is by creating multiple AI Twins. To the user, they always feel like they’re chatting with the same Twin. But behind the scenes, we’re presenting them with the right Twin at the right time.

We do this because it’s the most certain way to ensure that your users can only talk to a Twin about the specific content that they should be able to talk to it about.

Shared Memory Across Twins

Yes, your Twins will share memory across tiers. So the moment a user upgrades or downgrades, the Twin they’re chatting with will switch, but the new Twin will retain all the memory from past conversations.

This creates a seamless experience where users don’t feel like they’re switching between different AIs.

Pricing for Multiple Twins

How Many Twins Are Included?

  • Starter Plan: 1 AI Twin
  • Growth Plan: 2 AI Twins
  • Scale Plan: 3+ AI Twins
  • Enterprise Plan: Custom number of AI Twins

Additional Twins

There is an additional fee to create more than 1 Twin. However, once launched, all of your Twins—whether you have 2 or 20—pull from the same monthly subscription plan for credit usage.

Setting Up Access Tiers

Step 1: Define Your Tiers

During your onboarding call, work with our team to define:

  • How many tiers you want to offer
  • What features each tier includes
  • What content each tier has access to
  • Pricing strategy for each tier

Step 2: Content Organization

Organize your content by tier:

  • Tier 1 Content: Foundational materials
  • Tier 2 Content: Advanced materials
  • Tier 3 Content: Exclusive/VIP materials

Step 3: Authentication Setup

We’ll configure authentication to recognize user tiers. This can integrate with:

  • Your existing membership platform
  • Stripe subscriptions
  • Manual user lists
  • Platform-specific authentication (GoHighLevel, Kajabi, etc.)

Step 4: Testing

Before launch, test each tier to ensure:

  • Users see the appropriate features
  • Content boundaries are respected
  • Upgrades/downgrades work smoothly
  • Memory carries across tiers

Upgrade & Downgrade Handling

When a User Upgrades

  • Access to new features is granted immediately
  • Twin switches to the higher-tier version
  • All conversation history is retained
  • User experiences no disruption

When a User Downgrades

  • Access to premium features is removed
  • Twin switches to the lower-tier version
  • Conversation history is still retained
  • User can still access their chat history

Partner Deployment

Using Your AI Twin in a Partner’s Product

Using your AI Twin in a third-party partner’s product (“Partner Deployment”) or reselling/sublicensing access requires our prior written approval, which is granted at our discretion.

All usage in such a deployment must be routed through your account and is subject to specific conditions outlined in our Terms of Service.
